The game’s plot revolves on you, a student at Westford University studying in Chemistry with your lifelong best buddy. You’ve been leading a very typical and carefree existence until one day, an after-class scientific project turns into a strange accident, altering your life as you know it. How will you handle the cards that life has handed you? How do you deal with these newfound difficulties? How will your relationships with others around you alter going forward? Episode 4
Episode 4, titled ‘Smile’, will be available on Saturday, October 19th. It will be accessible for free to everyone who has Having a Hard Time on Itch.io.
There are a few reasons why it took a little longer, one of which is that my PC died recently (don’t worry, it’s back up and running with improved components), but the most crucial reason is its size.
It ended up being the largest episode to date; as I write this, I’ve already crossed 2000 renders and 100 animations, which is an insane amount for me. From certain perspectives, this is more than double the size of the first episode.
There are still numerous animations and renders queued up, and I have a lot of work to do in the following days, but it should all be completed by the 19th.
Developer Notes:
The first episode is mostly an introduction to the game’s environment and characters before’shit hits the fan’. The main character is female, but due to a bizarre accident, she gradually develops male genitalia (in addition to her existing female genitalia). Because the MC is drawn to girls, this game will mostly revolve around romancing other females (with the added perk of penetration).
